"Nice finish on the handles". :scrutiny:

I agree…… but grips man, grips. ;)

Nope Torian, I never recommend GLOCK as I hate their style and get tired of looking at them in movies. Though I do think they are a fine manufacturer. I'd suggest looking for a S&W 1006 on gunbroker. If it needs to be a new or current production gun, nothing springs to mind.

I've handled the 1006 before, and was not impressed in the least. It is also a single stack (I'm looking for doublestack only, otherwise I would have considered a 1911).

I was hoping that Para would come out with a nice doublestack model in 10mm...

Hmmm, I didn't realize they were single stack guns. Hmmmmm........ what to do, what to do. Well, I guess you should kep your witness then.

I've been saying it for a few years now. I wish Beretta or CZ would make an all stainless steel double stack 10mm. I'm surprissed Sig Sauer has come out with a $2000 one as well of limited production.

Torian:
Ten years ago I was heavily into IPSC, my experience with Para Ordnance quality and my friends experiences were quite negative. Example, in 25,000 rounds over one year, one shooter ended up replacing _every_part other than the barrel, slide & frame. I swore off the brand and have not tracked them since. They may have changed since then, but I recommend you look further before purchasing one.
At that time the QC on the low end Tanfoglio guns was quite poor, with the high end IPSC Limited/Standard Division guns being very well made.

For a double stack 10mm I suggest you look at the STI Perfect 10:

Jeeze, sorry to hear about the problems with EAA, but thanks for telling everyone. I was seriously considering a Witness, but I'll save my pennies for a CZ instead.

Internal debate: over.
