OK, I'
ll see if I can clear it up since I muddied the waters!!
The 2's and 3's both have 30 MM TUBES with 25 MM OBJECTIVES. My 3's have bigger dots because they were BIG DOT style (10 MOA ) Most that you see for sale now are all 5 MOA which is perfect for your usage. I went and did a quick check and my PDP 2 is a 5 MOA. The BD type cover way to much for good squirrel hunting guns and bullseye shooting like I am doing with mine.

I also have a TASCO PRO POINT + but it is NOT like new production. It is bigger than the PDP 2 and 3 in the tube at 35 MM and I would guess a 30 MM objective.
Mine are RED at all times. RED/GREEN is done with a switch. The rheostat just controls the brightness of the dot.
Oddly enough I happen to have a Millet that is red and has a variable dot at 3,5, 8 and 10 MM. I used it on my 9 MM sub gun on my SORT team.
I have not seen any silver ones lately. Perhaps a call to Tasco will turn one up. I believe they were made several years ago.
