I was given a win 1300. that the owner blew the front of the barrel open, trash in barrel and his pants after that shot. was a 30" now will be cut down to 22".
if there is enough metal in barrel any reason why I can not have rem choke tubes put in. that way, only have one size-type tube to keep up with,4 rems and 1 win. no win tubes at this time.
thank you for your time

No reason you can't AFAIK, _if_ there's sufficient metal thickness in the barrel to allow safe installation. I trust the folks at Colonial Arms in Selma, AL to do my barrel work- see their site at http://www.colonialarms.com/ . If you can measure the inside diameter of the barrel and the outside diameter, then subtract, that will give you the barrel wall thickness. You'll need a dial (or digital, or vernier) caliper because they will want to know dimensions in the thousandths of an inch. Phone number there is (334) 872-9455 , but what with the remains of Ivan at strong tropical storm strength passing by there about 2pm today it might take 'em a day or two to get back in business.

hth,
