It might have Marine on the thing...
They don't float. Nope, nada, trust me on this...I checked it twice in one day, nope.
Testing later on again confirmed.

That is what I was doing. One of these I run 200 buckshot in one day to determine loads it preferred and then reliablity testing of loads. Best recall that gun was run 2k rounds in the first week it was brought home.
Bone stock, always worked, still does, still doing what is was bought for.
A serious tool for a saltwater / wet exposures.
Fellow that owns that one used to shoot like 30k rds of 12 ga alone - in a year.
Folks I hang /hung with are shooters. You can give many of these types a stick and they will fell what they see and point at.

One Marine Shotgun losts it bead , been about 12 , 15 years ago. Still not been replaced, and most likely won't.
Shooter has run 200 straight shooting skeet with it, taken deer with it using slugs, and can put 4 slugs into a 4" target at 20 yds so fast you would swear the gun was a semi-auto.
Lady ...yeah a lady 5' if she gets on tippy toes, and over the years a bit more weight , probably a 120 # now.
"You were right, darn things don't float" She said to me.
We also tested by tossing sand into these, shooting and then rinsing out with water...
Hers is still bone stock, bead missing, if she see it, she will fell it.
