hello all,

I have a remington model 700 30.06 with a bushnell banner 6x18x50mm scope for sale, but i dont know how much its actually worth, i need some help on how much to sell it for, please help!

i am terribly sorry guys, i didnt give any detail, im really not sure of the model but its a nice gun, no major scratches,no rust, approx 50 rnds through it, i will post some pics, and how do i check the blue book value on it?

If you google "blue book for guns" you'll get a lot of options. Personally, I've used usedprice.com before and had good results. It's a pay site though and I'm sure there are free sites out there somewhere. Also, just about any gun store would have a blue book to reference.

Ok, stock: wood or composite, black or walnut?

Barrel: matte (lightly textured), blued or stainless?

Trigger: grooved or smooth?

Glossy stock with a floor plate? = BDL

Best bet is to look at gunbroker and see what they're selling for, not what some people are asking.

That scope really adds no value to the gun, the 425.00 ish range is probably close for most areas. With the scope possibly 450.00-475.00 to the right person, but that will be on the high side for any free classifieds on any gun forum.

700 ADL. New price was likely about $325-$350. The scope sells new for $125. How much it will sell for is anyone's guess.

Hope it helps. FWIW in 1990 my 700 BDL (in 30-06) cost about $399. They are somewhere north of $725 at present. The BDL is identical to yours save the black end cap and hinged magazine floorplate. Of course used is used. I bought a Winchester Model 70 in -06 used about a month ago for $319 that I estimate to be a few years newer than my Remington. It was a blind mag. (no hinged floorplate) with synthetic stock but no scope or mounts.

You might ask $400 from a private seller and negotiate from there but on trade you'll get not a penny more than book for it as the store needs to make a profit on both your trade and any purchase you make.

You can only close a thread that YOU start in the Trading Post forum. Since this is the Rifle Country forum, ask a moderator to close it.

Interesting thread to me. I inherited my dad's 700 .30-06, sounds like it's a BDL model. It's priceless to me 'cause it was Dad's.
