Ah, so many bought, customized, and sold. How I wish I could have them all back. Lets reminisce shall we? Here are just a few I have sold over the past 10 years. They are missed......but, I can and will always buy more!

I've never sold one, but I did give my first handgun to my friend. It was an XDM 40 in 3.8". When I bought it, I wished they had the compact model...came out a month later. Once I finally got the one I truly wanted, my friend got my old one.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I rue having wasted so much money on buying and selling.

My first pistol bought and sold was a Glock 20. Sold the Glock to get a Rock River AR flat top with a grand worth of goodies. Sold the AR :banghead: to move, but I don't miss that Glock-$%*&! at all. Sigh...

When I think about the decent guns I had and have sold or traded "just to have something else" it makes me ill to think about it as I had some real nice ones over the years.

I had to finally come to a conclusion that no matter what, I won't part with any of my guns anymore for another gun or for money. I most likely could have kept guns I had sold and made the money some other way than to lose my shirt with every single one! :fire:

Amen to that. I went through guns faster than socks. In my pea sized brain I was convinced I couldn't afford to keep them so I traded them off. I have had over 30 Smith and Wesson revolvers alone.

Over the years I have sold some here and there but I do not really regret any of them. I would estimate with all the horse trading I am stil ahead on these transactions. All of these were bought low sold at a reasonable price. I generally buy used shoot them for a while and sell them when something else catches my eye. Some were sold straight out some were traded.

Right off the top of my head I can think of 30 pistols I have sold over the last 10 years. Almost all of them can be replaced.

I no longer sell. Too many regrets in the past. :)

I don't regret any that I have sold. Every one that I have sold involved a conscious decision to move to something that worked better for me. Of course, my days of "trying and trading" have dwindled over time as I settled on the guns that work best for me.

I've sold a number of handguns simply because I didn't like them. But some had to go in 2008-09 when I hit a rough patch. I didn't mind so much with some, because I got double or in one case nearly triple what I paid for them, but a couple were downright painful to push across the UPS counter for the last time.

Looks like you bought and sold the same basic gun several times. I've bought and sold quite a few of my own, but I try to stop when I've bought/sold the same thing a couple of times. I figure there must be some reason I choose not to keep them.

I've only sold 1 handgun, and gifted another to a friend after his 21st Bday so he could have something to CCW with. The handguns I have now I'll never sell unless I absolutely have to, well maybe the 442... Not like that can't be replaced easily.

The one I sold was my XD40-SC, a super reliable carry gun but I wanted to finance another fancy subcompact 1911 (my EMP) and I realized that tupperware guns will always be a dime a dozen. I might get another one someday, or an M&P, or I might even cross over to the dark side and pick up a Glock... Who knows?

The one I gave away was a Stoeger Cougar, a great gun but it never really saw much use and I wanted my buddy to have something to carry when he got his carry license. He's going to college right now and can't afford a gun on his own, just the license fee was difficult to come up with.

Dr. Mall Ninja, yes I still have many 1911's left with plans of many more on the way!

I've never sold or traded a handgun, but I have been thinking about it. I have a Beretta 92fs that I don't shoot often at all. The frame is a little too thick for my hands. I have been toying with the idea of trading it towards a over/under for sporting clays.

Ah yes wish i had a few back myself promised myself i will not sell anymore of my collection love those 1911 photos very nice.

Sgt Rock - So many guns, so little time!

I have had a few 1911's too. Loved every one of them except a small Kimber.

I don't think how many guns you own makes any difference. I do think that how many guns you have owned does make a difference.

The ones you have owned have all been very nice!

We can only shoot one at a time anyway!!

I've sold one handgun in my life and I regret it every time I see one like it. It was a Baby Browning manufactured in 1959 and I don't even have a pic of it to share. I mostly carried it in a Marlboro hard pack rolled up in my T-shirt sleeve as a backup to my PPK/S. When the right deal comes along I'll pick up one in nicer condition so I can tell myself I 'traded up'.

Ive sold alot but generally trade/ buy used to minimize losses whenswitching to a different gun nowadays.

In my dumber days i would do something like this.

Buy a new colt 1911 600$
Buy some nice grips 50-100$ (i buy grips for almost every gun i cant help it!)
Buy a nice holster 100$ (same thing i dont own a handgun without having a safe holster to carry it in)
Buy a bunch of ammo if i dont stock thAt caliber

Then something catches my eye and i sell what i have 800+ in for 500-600$!!!

Alas this is why i only allow myself to buy used unless its lower end sub 500$ gun anyway

I'm in the process of selling a Hi Power to a friend. It was my first handgun but I need the money and my XD-40 works better for me.

The only handgun I've ever sold was a kitchen-tabled 1911 that jammed constantly. Other than that, I've never been able to let go of one.

I've sold a few of my rifles and shotguns here and there. Some I've regretted getting rid of, but most of them I honestly just didn't like for one reason or another, and was happy to be rid of them. For the most part though I'm set in that arena and don't see myself buying any more of them (exception would be possibly a Kel-tec KSG, and if I ever got into Cowboy Action Shooting then I'd need a shotgun and lever-rifle for that).

oh,where do i begin?!?!
EAA.380
smith &wesson model 2214
nickle plated Taurus .38 snubbie
Taurus pt-25
H&R .32 mag snubbie
there are a few others, but these top the list of ones i still kick myself over.

Actually most of the guns that I sold or traded over the years that I truly miss were revolvers!
