Renewal of Texas CHL

perhaps someone could answer this for me. My chl expires on 01/05/2011, how early can I take the class to renew my license?

You can't apply for a renewal until 6 months before it expires, so you have a few months yet: August 5, 2010. You can get the packet earlier and fill all the stuff out, but nothing can be dated before August 5.
