At AIMsurplus it says its illegal to order ammo by mail in Reno, NV. I thought Nevada had state preemption. How can a city enact a ban? Can anyone shed any light on this?
Sorry to hear about that. We in MA have been dealing with that crap for a long time now. A lot of suppliers are unwilling to ship to MA now, although it is perfectly legal to do so. Our Ex-Attorney General did a good job of harrassing them.
If you are sure there is no real legal issue, just keep trying different places until you find one that will ship to you.
Oh, I don't live in Reno--Las Vegas actually. I was just curious as to how a city could enact such a law with state preemption in force. Maybe they it slipped through the cracks because it isn't technically a gun law, but a bullet law. That's my best guess anyway.
