527, if the fellow tried that from a regulation trap at regulation distance, we'd not see it on Youtube. That's because he'd not hit many.
He's not shooting trap. He's standing right behind the target shooting straightaways. And from the short time it takes for the target to start dropping, those are some slow birds.
Add speed, angles and distance, he'd be humiliated on targets even a new shooter with a regular shotgun would hit most of the time.
As for why I'm down on PGOs.....
This forum is for real info about all uses of shotguns in the real world. Not Halo, gangster movies or John Wayne shootemups. Nor for macho chestbeating or Alpha Male posturing. We don't do what gun for zombie threads, TEOTWAWKI, or ULTIMATE shotgun threads with lots of pics of brand new shotguns that never have been fired and may never be.
But if a new shooter want to to find out how to bust a clay, put food on the table, protect his/her family, self and community, and to do so with a shotgun, we're here to do that.
Yes, I'm an old man with strong opinions. Said opinions have been formed over half a century of shotgunning in most aspects.
When I say that PGOs are harder to shoot well than standard shotguns, that's based on hundreds of rounds expended, and seeing scores of shooters expending thousands. Not on a couple videos or something I read.
Finally, this thread has veered over the line but I'm not closing it. Also, I can handle a few insults, but remember personal attacks are verboten under the rules we all agreed to at registry.
Stick to the issues.
