Call me paranoid but is it safe to buy products from Amazon.com? Anyone else get knives, acces or anything like that from there? Ive bought my G10 Spyderco and my BK2 KaBar from there, "New" but when it came in.. I dont know.. i just had one of those feelings... The knives looked "clean".. maybe it was just the packaging. Anyhow.. any other good places to go shopping online other than CheaperThanDirt and Cabellas?

I have ordered from both of the ones Hso mentioned. In addition, Smoky Mt Knife Works and AG Russell are reliable.

Yes it's safe to order from Amazon. I've never bought a knife there but have bought many, many other things. The other sites mentioned are good also - I tend to go to New Graham first for some reason.

ABSOLUTELY, it's safe to buy from Amazon. I've bought climbing stuff, gun stuff, BOOKS, storeable food, tools, and just about anything you could think of from them. Amazon itself is as safe as it gets, if your looking at an affiliate seller just stay with the 95%, or better, good feedback sellers and you should be fine.
On the other hand, if you want that local cutlery shop to stay in business, for future use, it might be wise to spend a few dollars more if they have it or can get it. That applies to your gun shops, bicycle shops, climbing & rigging shops, fishing tackle, etc., etc., etc. Plus, it's a lot easier to get a gunsmith, bicycle mechanic, etc. to work on your item, on short notice, if you bought it in his shop.

I had my credit card info stolen and used shortly after making an Amazon purchase. I hadn't used that card for about 6 weeks and the illegal charges began within hours of my Amazon purchase.

I have ordered from amazon no problems, The majority of my knives come from Ebay, I have bought roughly 200 knives from ebay and never had 1 glitch...

I've only ordered a couple of times from Grand Prairie Knives( www.gpknives.com ) and have no complaints about them whatsoever. A while back I searched through some of the knife forums, and the recommendations here match up with what I found.

New Graham, Knife Center, Knifeworks, and Grand Prairie were all highly regarded. AG Russell, too. No knock against Smoky Mt Knife Works, I just can't remember about them.

Ratworxusa.com for knives
CDNNSPORTS.com for guns
guncrafter industries for the glock 50 cal. conversion

I just picked up a KaBar Becker BK2 from Amazon.com and I had absolutely no problems. I have bought several knives from Amazon and tons of other items, two maxpedition bags, clothes, flashlights, and college text books and never any problems. If you happen to be student, as I am... again, they have Amazon Student, its free and offers two day shipping on anything that amazon sells itself. Basically, Amazon student is free Amazon Prime membership. Plus if you are a student Amazon will buy your used text books and pay to ship the books to them. Granted you get amazon.com credit and not cash, but it works for me :)

I have had no issues at all with Amazon!

Not a big fan of Amazon since i thought i found a crazy-deal on a nikon-scope,, only to look at my local ma-and pa gun-shop and see they sold it for about $17-more,, by the time you added shipping it was way worth it to buy local,, however they cant even get within $5 per box on .243 ammo (shipping charges ) so i shop between midwayusa, and cheaperthandirt. the later of those are REALLY cheap but midway i think has outstanding service,, and besides larry potterfield will" thank you for the business"

Amazon is just a great site to buy from in general. I have a Prime account that has paid for itself many times over (79 per year I think, transferable to multiple people in diff locations that are family) with free 2-day shipping. Heck I buy groceries sometimes.

Anyway Amazon is just as trustworthy as any of the ones mentioned above - just look closely at the item/description because sometimes "Amazon retailers" (not Amazon per se) will not give enough info, e.g. you might end up with a CE knife instead of plain edge if you don't look at the detailed description.

osogrande.com and if u google bladematrix have had great experiences with bladematrix but i dont think they carry benchmade if memory serves

Amazon is reliable, but I don't buy from third-party sellers on there any more. I've had two credit card numbers stolen within days of each other, that had only been used at Amazon. Just make sure that the seller is Amazon.com, LLC, and you're set.
