I typically carry a Kimber ultra carry II for primary and a Ruger LCP for backup, both with crimson traces. I use a cross breed and a smart carry for carry method. I saw a Kahr PM40 this weekend, and I think I REALLY like that! Much smaller and easier to carry, and still plenty of punch. I liked the feel of it, and it looks like a quality tool. But...

Can you fine folks provide me with your opinions on the PM40's and the Kahr products in general to assist me in my urge to spend another bunch of money?

I have one a love it...though it is not for the recoil sensitive. If you shoot the LCP you won't be shocked. Some of the first PM40s had reliability issues that the company has since corrected. They have a lifetime warranty, I would only buy one new.

I like that "lifetime warrantee" deal!. Nobody mentioned that to me. Is the recoil big, like my .44 mag, or is it sharp and like a snake bite, (compare to LCP)?

Are/were the reliability issues related to the recoil? (limp wristing?)
