58 is too young to go. His knowlege base will be missed here. His intelligence will be missed here. His sense of humor will be missed here. His presence in general will be missed here. But with how much we will miss him, I imagine it pales in comparison to how much those who really knew and loved him will miss him:
He is survived by his wife, Karlyne Lanclos Hebert of Jeanerette; his mother, Doralisse LeBlanc Hebert of Jeanerette; three daughters, Shanda Segura and her husband, Randy Segura, and Katelyn Hebert, all of Jeanerette, and Jamie Gonsoulin and her husband, Rodney Gonsoulin, of Franklin; two grandsons, Drake Segura of Jeanerette, and Trae Gonsoulin of Franklin; two granddaughters, Harli Segura of Jeanerette, and Zoe Mae Gonsoulin of Franklin; his brother, Richard Hebert and his wife, Lisa Hebert, of New Iberia; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Hebert Taylor and her husband, Don, of New Iberia; and two nieces, Amanda and Taylor Hebert, both of New Iberia.
Their loss and the hole they will feel for probably some time will be immense- I hope that the hole and feelings of loss alleviate soon, that they remember the good times and hold on to their happy memories of him. I hope they can think back on him and be comforted without the kind of emptiness that usually follows such a loss as soon as possible.

Heavenly Father,

Look, we beseech thee, upon the family members of our beloved brother now fallen asleep. Guide them with Your gentle hand, and comfort them in their time of sorrow. Let them grow in their love for each other, and provide for them only fond memories. Send Your Holy Spirit to increase in them their love for You and Your Word, and bless them with the knowledge of a wonderful reunion in Heaven. In the name of Christ, our risen Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, ever one God. Amen

Little left to be said except, goodby Carlyle, I wish we had had the chance to get together for that meet you talked about. Life is short and often not fair.

My thoughts will be with the Hebert family as listed in the obit., kindly posted by Mike and his extended family here as well.

As far is I know, Carlyles last post at TFL:

A fond farewell!
Guys this is not only my 2000th post but my last one. It was a toss up between doing this in Handloading & Reloading or here in The Hunt. Hunt won !

I will miss this place but not as I would have missed it if Art, Oleg and others had not started http://www.thehighroad.org./.

Thanks for everything guys..............see y'all on the High Road.

It's been fun!

Hank - Gotta admit I laughed long and hard at that photo. It's like Carlyle is saying to us, "Hey! Stuff happens! Get over it! I have." What a character. Again, he's gonna be sorely missed.

After meeting on TFL, Carlyle and I talked by e-mail about my getting together with him next time he cast bullets. (Something I want to learn more about, and get into in the future)

He was quite a character, and a good Cajun neighbor.
My condolences to his survivors.
