I got an e-mail from his wife last night, and quite frankly, the news couldn't be much worse.

I'll just drop in what she had to say...

"Just letting all of you know that Carlyle is still in the hospital and he is back in ICU after a lung biopsy. He didn't bounce back as good as the Dr. thought he would. Anyway we finally got a diagnosis on him he has Acute Interstitial Pneumonia. His lungs are in very bad shape and the prognosis is not good. His only hope to survival is a Lung transplant. We are checking into that now. He is back on the breathing machine, they have been cutting back on the oxygen he is getting, tomorrow they will change the mode for him to breathe more on his own.I will try to
keep you informed."
