That 10MM is vaporware there was 1 for pictures and 2 for testing it was so expensive at 3200 dollars it too is now gone.

From my perspective a CZ 75 is a handful ... not too much to muckle onto, but defiantly a handful.

I never put my mits on one, but I've always imagined that the CZ 97 would be too large in my hand.

.45 acp = single stack in my book....
(though I'd love to have someone send me a 2011 in an effort to prove me wrong. :))

I'm not telling,!!
you are blistering? i couldn't google any other meaning for the word. perhaps vacillating- going back and forth or ruminating-thinkong deeply about is what you meant .

my lgs has never had a 97b for years such that i ordered mine from grabagun has a 97bd currently for $860.

I like them but the cost was too dang much ! My P90 can do just the same as the 97.It too is DA/SA and very accurate and will handle the hottest 45acp load you can make within reason. I am a CZ fan and have several CZ's but in my area the CZ97's are around $799 and up. I can get them cheaper online but i am not buying a gun without seeing it in person.

The real reason I think the 97 was dropped from the CZ line. Just too many .45's out there for a lot less money.

Yes, which ones, with with comparable design and quality of build?

You could get a Turkish 1911 for less money but I don’t think that’s a fair comparison

I didn't say they were the equal of the 97b, just cheaper. You can pick up a P90, if you can find one, for a little over half what a 97b will cost you. My Glock 21 cost $500 and change, albeit 10 years ago. My 97b is my favorite .45, but I knew it was going to cost me going in.

Not meaning to pick on you, but you mentioned two, only one of which is in production. We're really talking about what's in production.

I was thrilled to find my CZ 97B on sale online from Sportsman’s Warehouse for $679 last June, and jumped on it. Had no idea they would be discontinued 7 months later. Makes mine an even better deal!

EAA $590.00, Springfield Armory $499.000, SAR $573.00, SDS $440.00, Rock Island $458.00, Hi Point $189.00 (Best Buy). It took me under two minutes to find those and there are many more.

I have $189! costco refund check

OK, fair enough since I didn't qualify that I didn't want a 1911 (I thought I had). But now that I clarified that I'm not looking for 1911 type:
SAR is an option.
EAA, SDS and RIA - 1911's only
Springfield - Compacts only
Hi Point - would anyone shopping for a CZ seriously consider this?

I still contend with your "many more" characterization. There aren't a lot of options for a new, full size non-1911 .45 ACP pistol. I looked a good bit.

The slow decline in popularity of the .45acp is likely the cause of the model being discontinued.

New buyers tend to dismiss the .45 as an antiquated round that has no reason to exist. Too big, too slow, too much recoil.

Read any blog or review and it seems you "need" the smallest, lightest pistol you can buy that has the highest capacity. And of course, if it doesn't have a red dot and a light rail you obviously will die a horribly painful death.

Yeah...

CZ is in the money business. When a model doesn't sell enough to warrant it's cost of production, it has to go. I'm sure CZ sells many more plastic guns than the old, metal .45 grandpa gun.

It just ain't tactical, bro.

Just get a CZ or a G21. You'll be happy either way.

Just get a CZ
I certainly intend to! I'll pass on the Glock. I can shoot them OK, but it takes a little more effort.
Seriously, I appreciate you pointing other available .45's. If I can't get a 97B, I'll most likely get the HK45.
