For about a month I've been nursing a concept, a pet project. My goal has been to come up with a great 2nd Amd/RKBA car sticker, that would be understandable by the sheeple in the Volvo behind you, and cool enough that you'd want it on your car in the first place. A sticker that would identify supporters of the RKBA, in the way that other groups use fish (Christian), Darwin fish, rainbows etc. I want the country to see just how many of us there are! I am thinking that from a tiny acorn can grow a mighty oak if such a car sticker catches on.

I'm not out to make a dime on these. I want anybody and everybody to produce them. These versions were made by a fellow who sells RKBA stickers, and shirts, and I hope he sells a ton of them. I'll be customer numero uno. But the basic design is not copyrighted and not copyrightable. I came up with the concept, made the first crude efforts, and all along have intended it for the widest possible distribution. I just want to see them on a million cars, in a few years! I want a stack of them for sale at a buck or two a pop on the counter of every gun store in America! I want gun groups to give them away free to new members! I want to put that message in the faces of John Q. Public: we're here, millions of us, stop trashing our RKBA!

Now: here are the two finalists, which are about ready to go to production: which do you guys and gals prefer?

Some folks will say, "What about my FAL?" (Or AK etc). I settled on the AR-15 because it's the most "recognizable" All-American military/sporter around. It goes right to the heart of the debate over so-called "assault weapons," the Miller case, etc. It cuts to the quick: why should these "sport utility rifles" be exclusively for the military and police? Wasn't the 2nd Amd created to assure a parity between the civilian, and soldiers in any "standing army?" Anyway, that's why I chose the AR-15. If you want to create versions with rifles, slogans, designs of your choice, please be my guest.

PS: These are miniature versions for posting on the internet. Finished stickers will be about 4" X 6", very sharp and hi-res.

The bottom sticker will be more effective.

"The Right to Keep and Bear Arms" caption is succinct and to the point. It will be easily understood by the illiterate masses who barely even know what the constitution is let alone what the 2nd Amendment stands for. Most won't have a clue to the historical significance of the background and the Don't Tread on Me statement either but if they've got any brains at all they might just get the point.

How do I buy one of these when they get released????

I wouldn't want to interfere with your dream... but you know THR's own Kaylee offers nice RKBA stickers already, don't you?

Check here: RKBA stickers

Not exactly like yours, to be sure. Good luck!

Nice looking, and I appreciate the sentiments . . . I prefer the second version, too.

But I don't put RKBA bumper stickers on my car or truck. First, I want to maintain a low profile. Second, when parked, it says "There might be something worth stealing in this vehicle." Third, anti-RKBA types probably don't have respect for private property either, and may decide to vandalize something belonging to a "gun nut." Or a PETA wacko may figure the vehicle belongs to a hunter who deserves to have his tires slashed. I can't stand guard every second of every day, so . . .

glad you like!

tee... if you ask nice (and maybe throw in an autographed copy of your book :p) I'll make ya one custom. :D

PS -- just finished reading Tam's copy of EFAD at like 1 AM last night -- great read!! :)

I agree with this 100%

Unfortunately, I also agree with what HankB said about bumperstickers on cars. I do stick a bunch of RKBA stickers on my rifle cases though. Maybe it will help to convince the 'deer rifle" crowd at the range.

I'd like to see that bottom image on a tee shirt or sweat shirt. I really do like it!

Get rid of the snake. No sense in pasting pics of Democrats on our cars! I like the stars idea on Kaylee's sticker also. I would also change the 30rnd mag to a 20rnd mag. Not quite as evil looking as the 30 but "evil" none the less. Might not freak out as many soccer moms too. Why not just put "shall not be infringed" on the bottom instead? Seems pretty straight forward to me. No FALs, no AKs, lets keep this as all American as apple pie.

I may just be a little paranoid, but I have always been reluctant to put a gun-related bumper sticker on my truck for fear that it would be a more inviting target.

DMK, yes I do and thanks for the good link. I just feel that this should appeal and be directed to the masses and be understood by everybody, not just us pro gunners. I doubt 20% of the population would know what the Gadsden or Navy Jack flags are and I doubt even more that it's taught in history class. We need something simple and to the point educating the sheeple that we have protected rights and won't allow them to be taken from us. Just my .02, if that!

I like the second one better than the first. Can you make the snake look REALLY PO'd?

I also have to agree with HankB. I know of one case were pro-gun bumper stickers led to a home theft. It was my son's recreation football coach. He has the typical NRA member stickers on his vehicles and a few others. The B&E happened when no one was home, and they took the guns first. Luckily, they were busted when they came back the second time to get the rest of his stuff. Perps said they seen the stickers on his truck and figured he had a gun and they wanted it to get some drugs.

Dave

They look great.

There's a problem for me, though. The police around here love to give people crap (most of them are what we call "badge heavy"). In other words, it's asking for trouble.

Can you also make one that's just the navy jack and snake, saying, "Don't tread on me"? I'd really like a lower profile sticker, if possible.

Thanks,
Wes

Another vote here for putting the bottom one on a T-Shirt or Maybe even a ball cap.

I'd buy either one...

I know it's a touchy subject, putting an RKBA sticker on your car. I figure if homosexuals have the guts to put rainbows on their cars, we must have enough guts to show our colors too.

For those who prefer hats and shirts, I'm not sure but I think that shirts will be available from lifelibertyetc.com . It's really a shame that we're such a "persecuted minority" now that so many of us will not even put on a sticker.

I can understand the fear of being robbed though. I'd suggest putting a shot-out sillouette target in a window. When the light shines out through the holes at night, it looks pretty impressive. "Do you feel lucky, punk?"

How about this idea: stickers on those magnetic rubber strips? I have a magnetic American flag on my van about a foot wide. Would folks pay more for stickers that are removeable magnetic jobs?

I'm not making or profiting from ANY of these. I just want the sheeple to see how many RKBA supporters are out there.

I'm sad to say that you do raise a valid point.

Still, I like the bottom one just like it is.

Also a good point! If life were suspected of being safe, many of us wouldn't even be here discussing this.

You're right. Why should we be afraid to show our colors? I walk proudly around town with my NRA Istructor hat on my head. If you could see some of the looks I get! I'm getting sick and tired of what other people think!:cuss: I'm fed up with people talking crap about a subject they refuse to learn anything about.

When will these bumper stickers be ready?

What I'm thinking is something classy, subtle, and understated. Like maybe a chrome AR/AK/M1/M1A/1911 perhaps a little bit smaller as the christian fish. :)

I applaud the sticker sentiments .. no problem there but regretably, I, like many have said ... am ever more ''lo-pro'' these days. I am proud of anything RKBA ... not ashamed but ... the ''advertising'' that one does on a vehicle has to be well thought out these days ... more is the pity.

I used to have NRA stickers, gun racks ... RKBA stuff .. on last truck but .. since changing that I have stayed totally ''plain Jane'' .. it's a discretion thing. I do NOT want my vehicle to be targeted, in case guns inside ..... I do not want to be traced to my home by someone who thinks there are ''rich pickings'' in my safe .... and also .. if I travel thru a no carry state .. certainly don't want to draw extra attention.

A sad commentary on early 21st century I know. Sorry.

heck!

I like both, lean toward the bottom one.

I hear ya Renegade!

I live in sanfrancisco PRK, One time some guy twice my size and half my age wanted to fight me because I was wearing a NRA hat,he wanted me off the bus because "the NRA and the kkk are the same thing"
I tried to explain that despite "mike moron" propaganda that it was the Union Soldiers who fouded the NRA. That went over his head and he wanted to fight.
Of course when I put my hand in my pocket (cold steel vaquero grande)
he suddenly realized that despite his size, weight, youth advantage
that I might have an equalizer in my hand and he backed down.
I was pretty angry at being threatened and yelled eff the klan, ironic
as it sounds a big black guy (and Nam Vet) came to back me up after I
said that:evil:

If I could get the design on a Tshirt, would that be ok?
Would anyone be interested in one?

Thanks,
Chris

No Profit? Why not?

Hey Travis, why not try to make a little money off this stuff? Unless you think it is too little money for the trouble.

By the way, for those who are worried about heavy handed police, you might try putting one of those "Support Your Local Police" stickers on alongside it. That might even give the hoods a moment pause, who knows.
