fyi - to any interested in a Glock 30 [ .45 acp ].

I bought one and found my hand was a scootch too small for a proper grip when drawing quickly.

So I called Robar and spoke to Mathew, well informed young man and I sent it off that day [ yesterday ] for a complete front and backstrap grip reduction.

I was told that it will resemble a 1911 with a slightly thicker grip [ double stack on that model ] and I am SO looking forward to it coming home.

Any interested in that project and I will post a pic or 2 [ I am not really good with the camera thang ].

Most likely I will replace the Glock 23 with this, unless I am CCW'ing the XDs that is on now.

G- 30 sf

Yes mine is the SF model 3 rd gen.

Its still a bit too girthy for my hands and as I aged I find the power to keep real control is the reason I sent it in.

I was going to await the 4 th gen. but since I already owned a new gen 3 ,I might as well get THE grip I want.

Sell it and buy another brand with grip panels. Why sink more money into a $450 polymer pistol?

@ HK,huh ?

A Glock at 350.00 would be a steal unless it was a pos shot to hell and back and then left in a salt water puddle.
I have not seen THE pistol you are referring to as if it has a double stacked mag then it does not fit my hand.
And customizing is the way I see to get what you really want.
I now own 6 Glocks and got rid of a few that did not fit or have a purpose [ the .45 GAP for instance ].
I am very much looking forward to the return of my customized G-30.

Ruined Glock?

I was living in the Lakeview area of New Orleans in August of 2005, and our home was filled with ten feet of filthy water for a month. When we were able to visit the house, and recover some items from the second floor, I found my Glock 22 in a desk drawer in my home office.

It looked pretty grungy and smelled bad for sure. I detail stripped it, cleaned and scrubbed it, lubed it up and it ran like a clock. It perhaps wasn't as gorgeous as pre-Katrina, but was otherwise "good to go."
