rounded Trigger guard

Has anyone ever rounded their trigger guard on a Glock? I was wandering how hard it is to do and if it will look like a factory job when you are finished?

Did mine with a Dremel tool and a sanding block. Easy. I wouldn't say it looks "factory," but it's not bad, and it cures the Glock trigger guard ugliness. The plastic where I sanded it is smooth, not grainy like the rest of the plastic. Sorry I can't post a picture--too computer-inept. I've heard of people restoring the grain with a soldering iron, but I'm not going to try that unless I can see it done first.

I do think it would look a little better with a rounded trigger guard. I've always thought hooks or beaks that could seemingly double as can openers are superfluous anyway. Knocking off the corner should be pretty simple (a belt sander or wood rasp should take it right off, it is just plastic), but maintaining the texture of the rounded area to match the rest of the gun is a little beyond me, so I've never tried it myself.

I use the off-hand-finger-on-the-trigger-guard shooting techinique, so I prefer the hooked guards.

i've seem them and they don't look bad at all. if you want it to look "factory", you'll have to add a mold line

Did it on a P97. It improved the looks considerably.

Unfortunately it remained unreliable and eventually wound up going back to the factory for destruction and replacement. Sold the replacement NIB. It was probably a great gun but I was burned out on the P97 by that time.

Luckily I had 1911s to fall back on.

My sentiments, exactly! I don't know why Glock hangs on to that klugy, outdated trigger guard in the first place!

Not hard at all...rough removal with Dremel, finish with fine emery. When desired results are there put black Kiwi shoe polish on and buff with a Dremel polishing wheel. I also removed my finger grooves.
