Ruger 10/22 Front Sight

Hello all,

I recently got a Williams rear peep sight and front fire sight combo. I installed the rear peep sight no problem (the receiver was already drilled and tapped), but I'm not sure how to proceed on the front sight. Can the factory one just be tapped out? I'm thinking it can be, but I thought I'd ask before I put hammer to dowel to sight

Ah, never mind. I searched over at rimfirecentral.com and found my answer.

(In case you're wondering, yes, you can just drift out the front sight)
