Ruger Precision Rifle...

Looks interesting. I just saw a press release, but not an in depth report like this. Not something I want to rush out and buy, but there certainly many who will.

The action seems to borrow a lot from the Ruger American.

I'm trying to figure out what I can get rid of so I can get it. 243 for me, with a decent piece of glass.

I'll be more than happy to be that guinea pig.

A street price of $1,100 is a good value. A guy I respect has tried and reviewed it...shoots & groups well. I'm in for .243 or 6.5 CR...I'm covered in .308 Win.

Our local chain is pre-selling them next week for 1K. That seems like a pretty good deal.

That target said Ruger 200 yards....I'd like to know if he was really shooting that group at 200 yards

We will wait until the dust out here in the desert settles a bit, but if it is any bit nearly as rugged as our GSR's, at that price I will leave one out in the observation post.

I'm not a big AR fan, but 6.5 or the .243 would definitely get my attention. If it's really 1/2" capable, I could see spending a grand on it.

I didn't read the entire specs on it in the link, who makes the glass it comes with?

It's a bolt gun, not an AR. It borrows heavy styling from the AR platform though. I am assuming that you don't like the styling? I'm with you on that as I don't love the way it looks but I do like Ruger's and I am looking for a 6.5 gun...

I don't think it comes with glass. If that scope was included at the 1k price, I'm for sure in!

I think there may be one in my future, just gotta figure out what to let go to come up with the funds. I think it would be a .308 though, got a little ammo stocked up for the M1A. I like the 6.5 but don't really want to start loading a new caliber. Coogs.

Looks very interesting. I would be 'interested' in 308, but prefer longer barrel. From the Ruger website ''Barrels can be easily replaced by a competent gunsmith using AR-style wrenches and headspace gauges.'' Advertisement/spec sheet also states, can swap many parts w/ AR platform...so which barrels then??

Very interesting and priced right if it can be found at around $1000 to $1200. Would definitely be interested in the 6.5 Creedmore model.
