8C45E3D3-8149-4F97-A2B8-3EC13AE37003.jpeg Pictured is one of my past projects: starting as a Standard Ruger .22 auto-loader, I incorporated 2 extra barrels, the longest being 16” w/the front sight machined off. All (as necessary) parts were E-Nickeled. I made the stock/fire-end of Exhibition grade Circassian Walnut w//red Ruger buttpad. Self-made stock mounting steel “under stock grip”reinforcing bracket was inletted into the butt stock.

Scopes/mounts are both Burris SS. LER on bull barrel and regular ER on 16” barrel.

100 round cartridge block was made from the same wood.

Grips x 3: maker-made Walnut finger-groove, Pachmayer wrap-around and Standard (after-market) checkered Walnut.

4 x stainless steel magazines, sling QD swivels/leather sling and a Ruger Phoenix belt buckle. All in a carry case.

Alas, I broke my own tenet: “If you like a gun enough to buy it...never sell it,” when I was offered a ridiculous $$$$ price for it!

I realize that turning a handgun into a rifle might have been an “illegal” modification, but that didn’t enter into my endeavor.

While I love the picture, you did, as I understand it, break the law twice....first converting it and then selling it, assuming it is illegal. I would not be bragging about it on the internet.

True That! Tho the sale was +/- 20 years ago, but again, TRUE THAT!!

Not illegal to turn a handgun into a rifle, and go back to a handgun if the serialed receiver started as a handgun.

There was a case brought by Thompson Center back in the day that covered that.

Plus, when I had a Beretta Neos pistol, I bought the factory made Carbine Kit and installed it.

The only stipulation was that you couldn't mount the butt stock when a pistol barrel was mounted.

Yup, that’s what my before-internet research indicated.

What about Glock-to-rifle conversion kit and 1911 butt stock/16” barrel as offered by SARCO Inc....just wondering...

the part I admire the most are the stainless magazines. I've been wishing for those for forever. I really wish ruger would make them. all I can find are reports of ramline and amt mags that were stainless at one time, and apparently they weren't that great.

Mine functioned flawlessly, tho I can’t remember who made them but think they may have been AMT...
