I have several 3rd generation S&W. I have been having a problem getting match grade barrels from the after market. Barsto quit making them, and Briley does not make them anymore either. I tried to get the idea of a group buy so Briley would run a lot for us. It met with mixed results.

Here is the deal, I am contemplating purchasing the required 20 barrels Briley woudl need ordered to have them produce some barrels. It is 20 of each caliber though. I am looking at barrels for 5906/4006/4506 and possibly 1006 barrels.

I would start with either the 5906 or 4506 barrels for the initial order. Right now I am working out details with Briley as to price, length, possible bushing pachage deals, and so forth. Right now assume standard factory lengths.

Please people, let me know interest in these barrels, if there is not enough interest I won't go through the trouble.

Right now I am still working on the details. This is not a definite buy yet, I am just trying to see if there are enough people out there that want these barrels. I know I want at least 2 of each model.

As I said though, I need to be able to order at least 20 at a time to even fire up production. By the way, it would be a bit of a wait, about 8 weeks, the manufacturer has to find suitable blanks to begin with, they are very choosey.

I'll post pricing and model I will stat when it is appropriate. By all means pass theinfo on though to anyone looking for HIGH QUALITY match grade barrels for the 5906/4006/4506/1006.

IF and when this goes thru, I will only be ordering for the 4 models mentioned (5906, 4006, 4506, 1006) in the lengths appropriate to those models. If cutting the barrels will make them fityou rpistol, that is up to you to do. I cannot make any gaurantee they will work with any platform other than what I am ordering for. As it is these wll not be drop in barrels, they will require some level of fitting in most cases. These will be MATCH grade barrels.

That being said, "I think" all you would have to do for your 4563 is have it turned down tp the appropriate length, and have it fitted. I would check all the technical stuff before you decide to place an order.

This is still in progress though, nothing firm yet, just surveying at this stage.
