S&W 617 or Ruger Mk III

Get the 617 IMO more accurate than the Ruger autoloaders.

The casual shooter who can shoot better than a Ruger .22 autoloader is rare.
Most likely true for the wheelgun as well

The six inch 617 I owned was not nearly as accurate as the MKIIs I have owned.

I have not tryed the 617, but just recently purchased the MKIII Hunter.

I have shot 2 boxes of winchester 36gr. from wally world, about 666 rounds and have had no jams, 3 misfires. only ammo issues. The gun is a tack driver.

I will give it its first cleaning today.

I have both and it just depends on what you're looking for. The one huge benefit to the revolver is that it will shoot any ammo while most semi's tend to be at least a little picky.

To the fella that said a Taurus 94 is 90% the quality of a S&W - not hardly. I had a 94 for a while and the trigger was terrible and the quality was not even near the S&W...
