Just wanted to comment on the customer service provided by Smith & Wesson. Every S&W product I have owned has been really great, but every product has flaws or failures now and then. Many years ago, I had a S&W pistol in .22lr. Always worked great until maybe the 3rd yr of ownership I noticed a hairline crack in the frame. The pistol still worked perfectly, but the crack concerned me. I contacted S&W about it and the CS people were very helpful and positive. They sent me a return label in the mail and before I knew it, I had my pistol back with a new frame. That was almost 10 yrs ago.

Fast forward to the present:
A couple of months ago I bought a new MP 15-22. This is the new AR15 style rifle from S&W chambered in .22lr. Looked like a fun gun, and it proved to be everything the magazine reviews said it would be. A few hundred rounds into it, it started to have problems ejecting the spent cases. I figured maybe the action or chamber were pretty fouled up and gave it a good cleaning. When this didn't work, I decided to call S&W again. Same good attitude, same great help. Couple days later I got a return tag in the mail and the rifle was shipped out the next day. Even through the holiday hours, S&W managed to get me the rifle back in just a couple of weeks. They even sent me 2 extra mags for the trouble. Two thumbs up to S&W for continued GREAT service!

Nice to see some things haven't changed.

Had a timing issue in a new 617 revolver . Same thing as above : shipping label to my door within a couple of days, gun back to my door within a couple of weeks.
I've experienced same great customer service with Ruger. My 22/45 had feeding issues and they fixed it quickly. I believe I had to pay the shipping to Ruger though .
