The OP didn't provide a Poll choice that fits my circumstances. I carry a S&W with the IL removed and replaced by the "PLUG".
From the time they (S&W) introduced the IL I swore I would never own one. Well, in the 13 years since they came on the scene I have gotten older and slower and found myself unable to carry the guns I once did. I have always preferred handguns in 45 caliber and to have one light enough that my seriously disabled back can tolerate carrying it I had to go to the S&W 325 Night Guard. It's an ugly thing, particularly with the change in the frame contour needed to make room for the stupid lock. I won't get into how ugly the shrouded barrel is. Good grief!
Fortunately it isn't as ugly as the L-frames or the J-frames which had to be modified even more. And, being the old curmudgeon I am, once I had the 325 I couldn't stand looking at that stupid thing (the IL) so I replaced it with the Plug.
Yea, you can still see the idiot arrow telling those who can't lock up a gun in a safe or gun vault which way to turn the key (which I already lost - LOL). Can't do anything about that arrow but the Plug fills up the hole nicely and re-assures me I have done what I can to fight off stupidity for a few more years.
