Go read the thread. Word is the employees have been pulled. Even Alchemy Arms is commenting on that thread, stating that the custom shop is no more.
I visited my Chiropractor yesterday and he had just gotten off the phone with someone in the Custom Shop...so they are still open.

His Professional is having feeding issues and has been back to the Mothership twice. He put 50 rounds through, it this last time, when it got back without a hitch. They called him to check on the gun. They told him it should be able to go 1k rounds without a bobble

Well, apparently, the Pro is all they are making.
I followed the link you provided. Maybe we're reading it differently.

Starting at Post #28 (dated Sept 29 2022), is a post from a member who contacted SA and received a list of custom work they are performing (he attached the list).

Post #31 (posted 15 hours ago) is a member who just sent in his gun for work

I subscribe to SA's newsletter and get the emails -- I got the same list of current Custom Shop work/prices (IIRC) last month.

I was looking at post #23, 24, 25, 26.

But, I do see post 28. In all fairness, that post was posted yesterday. I actually originally read that thread before post #28 was made. When I went back to get the link today, I didn't look at the newer posts..

I have no direct knowledge of what Springfield is doing... And, as I stated before, I would never buy one of their custom guns again. I had a bad experience years ago.

But, I was only posting what I saw on the 1911 forum... People were saying that they pulled the plug. It seems now like that wasn't true.

I have no dog in this hunt. I was just trying to pass along info that I didn't see being discussed here...

I'll shut up now :)

Just a tease, until life gives me a chance to put more rounds through it. But I gotta say, I have never felt an action like this gun has. I love 1911’s, had a few, still have six. I can’t get over the feel of this gun, shooting it feels and sounds like a camera shutter. This is the very first round out of it.

Interesting, wonder if they all went to work for Les. :)
An interesting question. I have a friend currently working for Les, I'll ask him if and SA people came over.

That was quick, the answer is no.
