Check is in the mail !!!
I have heard that one a time or two. Hope everything goes well

Never did hear what was wrong with it. I would think it would have to be a cracked frame or something to expect a refund from any company.

This time it was the fireing pin but because it was the 2nd fix this in a year they could understand why I was mad and wanted a refund. So I guess at least give them the credit that there trying to make it right.

Ive had a mossberg 702 plinkster in the shop now for a year and 3 months. I don't even remember why I sent it in any more?:scrutiny:

I've had good experiences with Taurus, but acknowedge their shortcomings. That being said, I have had TWO expensive Kimbers that took a lot of work to get working correctly. I have a feeling you don't hear about those as much because people are ashamed to admit that their $1200 uber-pistol doesn't run right.

First, I hightly doubt the frame or slide cracked. They are forged steel but if one or the other did it was probably a very isolated issue. As for the rest of the parts...MIM are the parts and yes some do fail. Good news is the PT1911 is a true enough 1911 copy that it can be upgraded from the wealth of aftermarket parts out there and it doesn't take a gunsmith to do much of it.

FYI: My PT1911 runs and runs and has been doing so for well over 3500rnds. I abused it at the last range session shooting 500rnds of +P reloads then sprayed it out with rem oil swapped bbls to 400 corbon and 22lb action spring and blasted away for another 100rnds. Thing just runs and runs! Sorry to hear your's was a POS. It happens, and from what I understand you don't want to deal with Taurus customer service...sorry!

This pic you can see the black bbl its the 400 corbon:

Don't tell me that RIPPIN I already own several 1911 colts including a Delta Elite I just wanted a cheaper 1911 to take with me and honestly not be as kind to as my Colts, wilson, Les B, or my Dan Wesson. I think however I found that gun today there is a small sporting good shop going out of buisness and they have a Kimber Pro for 700$ looks nice feels great and is just about brand new so it will come home with me tomorrow. So I did not need to here you had problems with your Kimber if I don't buy that what will I buy.

Mail your PT1911 to me, I'll give it a good home.

My stainless is pushing close to 1000 rounds now and still no problems.

I'll gladly take all those junky Pt1911's!
