Sadlak or Springfield Armory Scope Mount

I actually like the Bassett Machine mount over the two you have mentioned. One attachment point makes it easy to remove and it goes right back to zero when re-installed

I ran the low mount on mine

Sadlak as mentioned or Bassett. The Springfield mount has a bad reputation although I have never owned one personally. The Bassett is easier to mount and remount but the Sadlak is lower if that’s a concern.

I have Bassetts on mine. I just really like the easy on easy off. They hold zero really well. I wish I would have picked up an ARMS 18 before they went out of sight.

No experience with a Sadlack, just an ARMS 18.
However, Springfields pitifull excuses for mounts, yes. Both of the different itenerations that I foolish tried, now live elsewhere.
As mentioned, ARMS 18 really works, if your dead set on Sadlack, sure why not? I hear good thing about them

The Brookfield Precision mount was the "official" one back in the day. (At least they had a government contract.) The Sadlak mount is identical to the Brookfield, except that the Sadlak has regularly-spaced Picatinny cross slots rather than irregular Weaver cross slots. This is undoubtedly an improvement.

Here is the Brookfield mount on my "Devine" M1A:

I have the Bassett that I got right after Mr. Bassett passed away, his daughter Romey (sp) sold me and her and her uncle showed me how to mount it, great mount that I can co-witness with. I dont use a cheek riser, I hate the way it makes the rifle look, I can remove the Bassett mount easily when I want to and it goes back to zero when remounted.

Bassett for sporting use. The Sadlak uses an extra attachment point so that would get my vote for the worst of circumstances.
