Saiga .308 3-Gun

Howdy folks, I have recently finished converting my saiga 308 to the standard AK format. It has the upgrade trigger, T6 adjustible stock, houge pistol grip etc. What I would like to know, is, with an upgraded sight system like an eotech or trijicon, and with a high quality muzzle brake, could I expect to run any type of three gun match? And yes I know that any AK platform sucks compared to the magic AR-15 Im not asking what it can't do, I would just like to know if anyone has tried a converted saiga at short range three gun matches, and if so, how it worked for you.

.308 would put you in the heavy-metal division. Depending how the match is set up, it may not be any hinderence at all. I would say you might be a hair slower then a FAL, but that is about it.

I have shot 3-gun with a SGL21, and I had no trouble staying in the upper 1/3 of the pack.

I've never shot 3 gun but I have converted several saiga rifles and I am in the process of doing another one. I am putting a magpul stock on it to raise the cheek weld and provide an ideal length of pull. S308s are great rifles.

Yes I love my S308. And I have shot several high-end AR15s and quite a few normal AKs, so I'm not just endorsing the first rifle I handle. ^^ Hey just now saw your post. Sorry for the delay. That 4300-300 looks like an mean rig! I would like to upgrade to the Magnum S980 sometime.
