Does Connecticut law ban converting a Saiga .223 (Sporter Configuration) to pistol grip. This would involve moving the trigger group forward and installing a pistol grip. I can't find anything in the state law.

Best bet contact a lawyer in your area that is good with firearms legal advice on a open forum is not always a great idea.

Are firearms legal to purchase in that configuration in the state?

You are rarely going to find a step by step list of what you can and cannot do in any state's laws.
The law is not supposed to tell you what you can do, rather if it's not outlawed then you can do it.

If your state has restrictions by feature, and specifically restricts firearms with those features, then it is likely that creating a firearm with such features is subject to the same restrictions.

No, it does not. Connecticut defines an AK-47 type as an AK that is chambered for the 7.62x39 round. Any other caliber variant that doesn't run afoul of the evil features ban is ok.

Thanks for the replies. Prince, that's what I thought but wanted to confirm.
