Oh man....that sounds perfect.Great! If you enjoy it half as much as a buddy and I enjoyed our two 4-day hunts near The Pas In northern Manitoba, you'll be ecstatic.
The only drawback will be that the ducks won't be in the mating colors. It's a bit difficult to tell the drakes from the hens. Manitoba had a limit of 8/day. We killed 8 mallards one day and 8 cans the next. Also killed a passel of ruffed and spruce grouse and loaded up on lake trout.
I hope the hunting is goid
Oh man....that sounds perfect.
#1 son and me, along with another father/son duo. Our sons were classmates. We have been on several waterfowl hunts over the years....but this will be the furthest.
We are ready to fish....but I didn't think of grouse...!
We have the option for layout coffins, but we have been using panel blind. It is nice to be able to visit. That and we have been getting the limit. Are you using layout blinds?
I used one for the 1st time in Manitoba. They are great in a field. We slayed the mallards. No geese though.
I'm not sure what Tim Horton 's is....?
I do know we buy Tim Horton brand coffee whenever we can find it.....enlighten us, plz!
I did my ppwrk weeks in advance....son did his hours in advance of leaving home....cheerful, helpful, friendly border agents quickly got us back on the road without any fanfare whatsoever. Not wanting to hijack the thread , but how difficult and how far in advance did you do paper work to get permission to take the shotguns across? Sounds like you are in for a great time. Good luck and safe travels.
