With all the bad press in the thread about Mueller I wanted to start a thread stating how good the customer service has been with Savage. I've dealt with them twice. The first time I needed the tool to adjust the accu trigger. I couldn't find one online so I called them trying to buy one. They insisted that they ship it out to me for free. It didn't seem to matter that I wasn't the original owner, or if the gun was under warranty or not. I offered to pay for it several times, but they insisted that I let them mail it to me free. You can't beat that.

The second time I needed to replace a trigger guard. I called them up to inquire about prices. They told me it was $2 for a plastic trigger guard, but they had a minimum $10 order, and the metal trigger guard was $20. Each had a $5 shipping charge. I said thanks, but that I was going to wait on it. I was going to check online, but found I couldn't really beat their prices. So I called back and told the guy that I needed to order one since the gun was outside of the 1 year warranty. He looked up the part and told me, "I will get this out to you for free". Didn't ask if I was the original owner, or seem to care. It was also clearly out of warranty, and I both told them that and I'm sure they know as they looked it up by the serial number. You just can't ask for better service than this. This is going above and beyond. When a company does what their warranty states it's great, but imo it's just not doing anything extra since they state they will do that when you buy the product. In cases like this when companies take care of products that are out of warranty and still do it for free is really going above and beyond.

Just wanted to shed some good light on them.
