I am a bit confused about scout scopes.
I am building a Czech mauser into a short and light mountain rifle for my wife. She has had trouble aquiring a sight picture in the past with "normal" scopes, mostly due to poor stock fit. While at a gunshow, I had her try the Ruger Gunsight rifle and she loved the forward mounted scope.
I have read some place that a pistol scope is all you need but I read somewhere else that there are porpouse built scout scopes.
Which is right?
I get a great deals on those gold banded scopes; what would yous guys suggest?
