Recently, after handling a Springfield xd 45 while on a camping trip, I got the urge to get a full sized larger caliber range gun...apparently did not recall my cz SP01 tactical was 40.
Handled a cz97b, looked up some options for an xdm or xd in 45. And checked out the full sized Glock 45 acp. Was looking at low to moderate priced options which ruled out most of the Sigs, H&k, etc.
Could not find a ppq 45 anywhere near.
Ended up bringing home a M&P 45 full size gun today at a reasonable price.
The M&P line has always caught my attention, just never bought one except 22c for fun and training a smaller family member.
Could not find much negative on them. Would liked to have had the thumb safety feature. Don’t need the threaded barrel option I got, but the gun is only being bought as a range gun.

Good choice!

Yes, it was a good choice. I have the M&P9, and find it to be a great gun. I'm not a Glockie, and wanted a full size 9mm. I came across this M&P and thought I'd give it a try.
They are very comfortable in the hand, and the interchangeable grip modules make it easy to find the right fit for your hand.
If you find the grip texture a bit too aggressive like I did, a little sand paper to take the sharp points off works well.

I have the full-sized M&P 45. I got it a few years ago when one of my favorite GB vendors got a batch of police turn-ins.

It's been excellent. I really, really like it. Good accuracy, reliable, fits my hand well, points well for me. Everything I could ask for in a service pistol. I shoot it often.

Nice score! You'll enjoy it. :)

I have the 2.0 Compact M&P in 40. As has been said the grip modules are nice. I believe you will like it.

I swapped out for the small grip module last night and the fit was even better. Really would have liked to get the 97B, but it is a beast comparatively.
