While listening to Sean on the way home today he was discussing the shall issue law of Michigan, he pointed out that the crime rate hasn't gone up and their's been no wild west mentality that the Anti's said would occur. He also said that CCW has the effect of reducing crime. Then he pointed out that's what John Lott has been saying in More Guns Less Crime and stated "and he's absolutly right." Just thought I would share what I thought was a pretty interesting comment.

When Florida first passed the "shall issue" law back in, I think it was 1989, the critics cried that the 'blood would run in the streets" over evey minor argument or traffic accident.

14 years later, I think you could probably count on one hand, the number of criminal incidents committed by CCW weapons holders.

Of course, the anti's don't let little things like the truth or facts get in the way of their propaganda.
