Ok, so I have tried to order a new stock for my Saiga .308 TWO TIMES... First time I ordered from a highly ranked Ebay seller that stated on their site that if you pay for an item before 3pm CST, they would ship it the same day if it was a business day... I ordered it last Friday at 2pm CST. I get an email on MONDAY (not the SAME DAY btw) that UPS received a billing for shipment and gave me a tracking number, I checked it Tuesday and it said the same thing. I emailed them and asked why my stock has not shipped yet... They don't know why because it should have shipped already. If the tracking results have not changed by Wednesday, to call them back. Wednesday comes and it says the same thing... I called them and they said that they were out of stock for the buttstock I ordered and it would not be shipping any time soon... I promptly cancel my order and ask for a refund... I still do not have my refund btw (different rant)... I then order from a website recommended to me from another forum on Wednesday after I get off the phone with Ebay seller... They send me USPS tracking number and everything seems kosher... I periodically check the tracking number to see where it is yadda yadda... I check it today and it said DELIVERED... but I have not seen a package, nor has my girlfriend! I live in a large apartment community with keyed package boxes... No key in my mailbox, no note on my door... Nothing... I call USPS customer service, and they were no help what so ever... I think the Gun Gods are frowning on me because it is TWICE now I have been shafted over this stock... Now I think I am out $130 for both instances... Ebay has gone to crap if you want to be frank about it. Ups or carrier is one to be held liable and they will give you the blowoff, as we both have found. I try and even go out of my way to do face to face anymore in this regard. The extra hassle at times is nothing compared to a loss of $130 or more. Sorry to hear but it helps the rest of us to remember buyer beware, and more than ever.
 
ouch, I bought a Glock shirt on ebay, haven't received it yet, I don't blame ebayer, he's very trustworthy, its 100% USPS's fault, he is going to ship me another of my choice next business day,
 
I, too, mainly rely on FTF sales, but no one near me stocks the Saiga stuff, so I have to buy it online. Which I hate because of identity theft, stolen credit card numbers, etc.

There needs to be an AWESOME gun shop here in Austin that stocks everything I am looking for... :p
 
I always buy from big online stores (MidwayUSA for example) and ALWAYS use UPS

If I find a place that has an item cheaper but will only ship USPS, I'll spend the extra money to have it sent UPS from Midway
 
I learned my lesson on Ebay this week. I bought a guitar and the seller promptly told me that he had already sold the guitar and that the listing that I used the "BIN" on was a mistake. He said that he would refund my money. Only after I contacted Ebay three days later did he bother to refund my money. Now, Ebay is holding my money hostage a couple of days to make sure everything is good. I tend to buy locally and this is going to reinforce that tendency.
