No collection could be complete without one M1 30 Carbine, since there were over 6 million of them manufactured during WWII. Unaltered Krags are getting hard to find, since many were sporterized in the 40s and 50s. Similar situation for many 1903s, too.
Not all 1903 Remingtons are A3 versions, as the ones made in 1942 mostly have Springfield-type "ladder" sights and milled trigger guard/floor plate assemblies as in 1903A1s.
CMP still has Garands and Carbines, so now would be the time to act for those rifles. May even still have some 03A3s, haven't checked lately?
