No combat shotgun. This is a rifle thread. ;)

What about the P17 Enfield? Plenty of them were used by our Doughboys in WW I.

US troops involved in the Russian Intervention (1918-1920) were issued Moisins. (You should have one anyway, they're cheap and fun to shoot)

No collection could be complete without one M1 30 Carbine, since there were over 6 million of them manufactured during WWII. Unaltered Krags are getting hard to find, since many were sporterized in the 40s and 50s. Similar situation for many 1903s, too.

Not all 1903 Remingtons are A3 versions, as the ones made in 1942 mostly have Springfield-type "ladder" sights and milled trigger guard/floor plate assemblies as in 1903A1s.

CMP still has Garands and Carbines, so now would be the time to act for those rifles. May even still have some 03A3s, haven't checked lately?

If you are really really fortunate you may run across a Remington 720 purchased by the Navy in 1941 or 42. Very few made it to the civilian market as WWII started just as they going to hit the market and the Navy bought them up.
