While cleaning my daughter's new 380 EZ, I noticed what appears to be an extra circlip under the circlip that secures the front sight. Anyone else have this arrangement? I wonder if it was done intentionally?
I just spoke with S-W customer service on the phone and the gentleman I spoke with was very non-committal. He said I can send the gun in if I'm worried about it, otherwise just use it. When I expressed concern that it may come loose and rattle around in the slide he allowed as how that seemed to be a possibility... I had actually reasoned through those two scenarios all on my own, but was hoping for something a little more definitive from the manufacturer - no that doesn't seem right, or yes we sometimes do that even though it seems like an odd way to deliver a gun
