unlike my previous post with the 586 where i am trying to learn something. this one is posted purely for fun. i took my full lugged 8 3/8 model 29 and decided to shoot more of my reloads from 2018 and 2019. talk about nose heavy. i would have been happier with a half lug. my SRH balances better. for this gun i again noticed that MBC 240 gr swc at .432 with 296 is slightly more accurate than xtp over 296 at 225 yds. ( i didnt do so well it took 16 rds to walk it in to a 10 by 10 gong so more of luck but the dispersion was less with the MBC bullet. 2 of those cylinders were with the xtp which is more accurate at distance in my SRH.) i didn't include it in the video as there's nothing more exciting than seeing dirt fly on the berm.
the DA pull on this is quite heavy so i am guilty of going off target with my finger still inside the trigger guard while waiting for the target to move less. still pointed downrange of course.
what i enjoy the most with 44 mag is how the gongs move so next time i will zoom less on the gong to see more of the jump of the target. this gun looks so cool on video with that heavy unwieldy barrel though.
