Shot with a member

Yesterday morning I was able to get together with member Obturation and we went out to Delavan Sportsman's Club and shoot for a few hours. This was our first outing together and I had a great time and am looking forward to doing it again.

We both brought a few rifles and pistols and of course did a few exchanges which was also great fun. He has a few I would probably never buy like a cannon of a revolver, 10mm Auto and a 357 lever rifle.

I have been able to connect with a few members on other forums to shoot with and have never went home wishing I hadn't gone.

Anyone else in the SE Wisconsin area like to get together drop me a conversation!

My oldest son lives a few minutes from there. I'm in the area often and keep meaning to shoot there, but Tuesdays or Sundays when they're open haven't worked out yet with my schedule.

Well then just about .5hr northeast of there is the range I work at, McMiller Sports Center, check their website. If I am not working I would love to get together and introduce you and your son to the range.

Yep, had some fun!
It was good getting out without the big time crunch I usually have. We definitely need to do it again. I spend too much time tinkering with loads and not enough time just settling on something that works well and shooting. I'd like to get a range day together for local forum members, perhaps sometime in the spring. Any northern IL or southern Wisconsin folks should chime in if they're interested. I know @brutus51 & @LUCKYDAWG13 are local , don't know any others.

@kmw1954 - Anytime you want to meet up again , give me a week or 2 heads up and I'll scratch out the time.

I would love an outing for an exchange of ideas with some fellow enthusiasts but as LUCKYDAWG13 Said now is that time of the year for fishing and hunting. Me and Rascal the wonder dog will be spending our weekends at the hunt club chasing birds from now until the end of March.
Of course we can't afford to indulge every weekend so keep me posted on your planned outings.
