With the exception of 4,100 Federal 209's, I've always loaded Win 209 shotshell primers.
The price of Win 209's is about $45-50 more than Rio and Fiocchi primers.
Does anyone have experience with with Rio and Fiocchi primers?
I currently load two shells.
Both are with Win AA hulls
Win 209 Primers
Shot: 1.0 ounce
Clays Powder: 17.5 grains
Claybusters Wad: CB 1100-12
Rated Feet/Second: 1,180
Chrono Feet/Second: 1,205-1,210
Shot: 1.25 ounce
Clays Powder: 18.2 grains
Claybusters Wad: CB 1118-12
Rated Feet/Second: 1,200
Chrono Feet/Second: 1,195-1,205
Hodgdon doesn't give load data for Rio or Fiocchi primers. Where do I find this data? Where do I find dimensions on the Rio and Fiocchi primers. I've seen blowback from Federal 209's because they are slightly smaller than Win 209's.
Any other comments would be appreciated.
Thanks....
