Show us a picture of your reloading bench

Ooh! I get to play now too:

I have limited space and decided to build one of the "reloading bench on a Workmate 225" benches. Built the thing out of 3/4" plywood held together with 1/4" dowels and wood glue. The shelf is set deeper from the top to keep stuff from rolling off; with some bookends, I can keep my manuals up top. I also use the bench for gun cleaning so that I don't have to do that work at my (cluttered) desk next to the computer, printer, and other electronics.

Here it before sanding and urethane:

Finished product inside after some use:

Some day, when we move to a bigger place, I'll have a proper shop, set up for reloading, woodworking/carpentry, working on my truck, and other manly things! Until then, I've got my little space.

Here is my new bench.

Had the shop teacher at the HS build the drawers for me. They are full of shotgun hulls and the cabinet on the right is old index card cases stacked. I use the index cases for cartridge storage. Just the right size for a casual cartridge reloader.

Bullets all stored on the shelf under the bench on the right. That thing slides out to make getting to the back easier.

Then I lined the underside with heavy duty shelves.

I'm not much of a carpenter or cabinet maker but I like to dable.

This thing should be good for years to come..

bsdubois00 - Waaay too clean, I wouldn't trust it... I prefer precious perches for all my gear and supplies...OK, I'm actually jealous - Nice neat rig, can I come over and load at you place sometime :)

I'll add mine, the idea was lots of storage underneath so I wouldnt clutter it up, but everynow and then I have to bring this pitcure up so I can remember what the top looked like.

I just put this together yesterday. I'm debating throwing some paint on the surface so any lubes or oils don't stain the surface like I've already done. It is slightly tilted towards the front but I'm going to put some shims under it tonight to see if I can get it level. This is a huge improvement over what I had previously which was a sheet of plywood resting on two shelves and a 2x4 screwed in at the midpoint to support use of the press.

And the pill bottle is full of thumb tacks. I had just finished cleaning out my range bag and handgun.

I set up a new bench and new progressive press last week. The new press sits on one end of a 72"x30" bench that weighs over 100lb. I bolted the bench to the wall so it's not going anywhere. I like having a large workbench that's free of clutter so that I can work on rifles or handguns. I need to finish organizing the shelves and contents at the other end of the bench as well as provide better lighting.

Wonderful set up!
Why the mix n match w/ the LNL? You're running a different powder drop??? Why? (I'm new to the reloading thing).

Very nice, 1858.... although, again, I would feel a bit uncomfortable with all that heavy stuff teetering over my head. :)

Reloading Space

Had an area in my office (home) that I built a desk to reload on. Directly opposite from my desk, which is cool because I can look at loads on the computer, and turn and start reloading.

Works for me.....

Thanks!! I prefer Redding powder measures to just about anything else. The 10X on the L-N-L has a micrometer metering chamber and is very accurate, repeatable and fast to dial in. The BR-30 also has a micrometer metering chamber and performs like the 10X. It's set up on the RCBS for .45 Colt/.454 Casull, but I can move it to the L-N-L for .223 Rem or any other cartridge requiring close to or more than 25.0gr of powder. I have a spreadsheet with all of the load settings so it's very fast to dial in a specific charge.

I'm not worried. :) The second shelf from the top was already there and in retrospect I should have ripped it out but I was too lazy/hasty. I use it for dies, primers and other relatively light stuff. I added the rest of the shelving using quality brackets 16" on center with 3/4" pine for shelving. The shelves are supported at both ends with 1"x2" runners that are lag bolted into studs and the brackets are also lag bolted into studs. The really heavy stuff (e.g. thousands of .45 ACP bullets) reside on the bottom shelves at the other end of the big bench.
