I've never held or fired a 225 but the specs of the old 225 seem to suggest the 225 is basically a single stack 229. I own and often carry a 239. It is challenging to find vertical draw outside the waistband holsters for the 239 (shame on you Galco!) but aside from that, I'm not sure what niche the 225 fills that the 239 doesn't already have covered. I think I would have preferred a slight redesign of the 239 frame offering a squared off trigger guard rather than a 225 re-release, but hey, no one at Sig asked me.
