I am a die hard Sig fan. Today I shot my new CZ75B, and oh my god did it shoot just as good as any and dare I say better than a few Sigs I have shot. I brought out a new shooter and he shot out the 10 at 7 yards. He commented how comfortable it was to hold and how well it handled. I know the reputation CZ has and now I know why. I need more of them.

I need more of them.

To be specific, you need a CZ97B in .45 ACP. Looks a lot like a small Desert Eagle, but IMHO far more beautiful. Shoots like a dream, very accurate.

The size excludes those with smaller hands or maybe short fingers, but if the size works, it is a must-have for 45 lovers.

tbtrout,

I have posted several times about my West German Sig P-226 compared to my Pre-B CZ-75. The CZ shoots as good as, if not better than the Sig, for a lot less money. My CZ is as smooth as lubricated glass, with a slick DA and slightly creepy (but smooth) SA. The Sig has a somewhat stiff DA, but with an outstanding SA out of the box, much better than my CZ.

The manual safety on my CZ, allowing cocked and locked carry, feels like it's floating in butter. My CZ is a pure delight to fondle and shoot. Best d_mn 9mm I have and I only paid $399.00 out the door, what a gun for the money.

The CZ gives up nothing to anything.

Welcome to the "cult".

Sounds like another convert to the "Cult of the CZ". I personally enjoy going to the range for a bit of Zen-like target practice, and end up introducing other shooters to the line via my CZ75B. Though I haven't done it yet, I whould mention that some people feel that the CZ is sprung wrong, and have installed lighter recoil or mainsprings (not so in my experience). When I start having magazine problems, I will contact Wolff for some extra-power (+10% is the current offering, I believe). So far no problem with the extractor.

The CZ line is like salted peanuts, you have trouble stopping at one or two.

Two active CZ love threads goin' on at the same time? I better calm this down right now by saying that I've not yet met the CZ that's as accurate as my SIGs (at least in 9mm), but I'll definitely concede that the coolness points favor the CZs. And the old satin nickel CZ-75 I sold back during a brief bout of temporary insanity haunts my dreams ...

I have no bone to pick with the SIG, which is a firearm of premium quality. In fact the SIG P210 is high on my "lust" list for acquisition.

Sometimes I would like my recreation fund to be able to stretch far enough to afford the SIG. Until that happens, I must make do with the CZ line of pistols.

There was a reason the Czechs didn't have to use standard Warsaw Pact weapons during the Cold War.

Every CZ I have ever shot has been an utter delight.

Were you aware that the CZ75 was designed for the export market, to draw some hard currency into the Czech Republic? If it were chambered in the 9Mak or the Tokarev round we might not even pay attention to it.

Nothing wrong with a CZ...other than the trigger perhaps. There are times I actually miss my PCR...

They are easilly the best of the current production, bargain brand, non-polymer pieces...IMHO, of course...

There's nothing wrong in stating that CZs shoot better than Sigs. I concur.:D

I own and shoot both Sigs and CZs. I shoot the Sigs very well but I prefer the CZs. My only gripe with CZs are the the prices keep going up. You used to be able to buy a new CZ 75 for about $350 but those days are gone. Regards, Richard:D

If it were chambered for 7.62x25 I might have to buy two. :D

After all, who better to make a modern double-stack Tok than CZ?

You know, that's a good point. It seems that you find threads about problems with just about any pistols, but very few about CZ's.

I've had a love/hate relationship with my 75B due to the trigger--truly horrid. However, for $400 new I don't know how they can be beat. I'm getting a Sig P228 to replace one that I foolishlly traded away. Hopefully soon I can post a head-to-head comparison. I can tell you that I just did an impromptu shoot-off with my HK P7 PSP vs CZ75B 9mm. The Hk has nothing on the 400 dollar CZ except for being slightly smaller. Accuracy was similiar, HK had more recoil, holds 8 rds vs 16 and cost $250 more.
