The decocker on my P239 has a lot of pressure. When the decocking lever touches the bottom, as the hammer start to move forward, the decocking lever pushes back towards the slide very hard.
I have used 2 other p239s, a 9mm and a .40, neither decocking lever felt like mine does. I removed the Hogue grip and the decocker spring looked fine, I cleaned and lubricated where the decocker pushes up inside the frame but it didn't make a different.
What could be making the decocking lever have so much pressure once the hammer starts to decock? Should I bring it to a gunsmith or just deal with it. I've gotten use to it but it irritates me to not know why.
Thanks for any help
