The Sig P365 X-Macro TacOps comes with a slide catch lever that protrudes further outward by about 0.055" and the lever is about 0.131" longer. So you have more leverage and because it protrudes further outward it is easier to actuate.
I just installed this extended slide catch lever in my P365XL. It is noticeably easier to use. If you are someone that likes to use the slide catch lever to release the slide I suspect that you will prefer it over the original size slide catch lever. It would be of great benefit if your hands were sweaty, covered in blood, etc. At least for my hands, the extended slide catch lever does not cause any interference. I can't imagine how anyone could accidentally engage the slide catch while firing, or accidentally disengage it. But everyone's hands are different so you would need to check this for yourself.
You will need to check your holster clearance. The extended slide catch lever fit into my holster, but it eliminated all play between the pistol and the holster.
Is this a must have modification? No. I am using it in my P365XL for fanny pack carry. But I'm not sure if I will use it in my P365 for pocket carry.
