I'm in the process of ordering a full set of replacement springs for my P6, which is also my carry pistol, and I noticed that Top Gun Supply also has P225-compatible hammers in stock.
What I'm wondering is this: if I was to order a replacement hammer, and grind off the hammer spur (to help reduce possible clothing snag), would the mass lost possibly cause reliability issues? In addition to the lightened hammer, I'd be using a lighter spring than the original P6 (22#, I think) spring as well.
Any thoughts? Is this a bad idea?
