I decided to give my old P6 a well-deserved overhaul today. Among other things, it now has a new recoil spring, a stock P225 hammer spring (P6 originally came with a brutal spring for the West German Hulk Police,) and a new set of factory grips.
But I also decided to replace the worn-looking decock lever with a new one. Only $3.95 so why not...but it doesn't look or work like the original. The tab that trips the hammer is shorter and lower, and the top of the lever has a big bump on it. Instead of catching the hammer and letting it down slowly like the old one, it drops the hammer without much control. I put the original back in since I don't really like the fast drop.
Did Sig recently change this part and not tell anyone? It doesn't even look like the photo on Top Gun's site. But it did come in a Sig bag with the same part number.
