Hello all,
I am in the market for a ~$100 springer that put .177 pellets downrange at about 1000+fps. I came across refurbished Ruger Blackhawk Elites for $59.88 (free shipping) from cabela's, while my local walmart has Beeman Silver Kodiak K2 (two barrel) sets for $99.99.

Does anyone have any experience with both? I like the idea of having a .22 and .177 barrel but from what I've read the RBEs have good triggers and is obviously less expensive. Which do you think is a better value?

Both are chinese made. Neither are well made with many parts stamped sheetmetal or plastic. That being said, they will work for a while with a degrade in performance. Triggers are horrid. Spring vibration is excessive. Do not trust published marketing velocities. They are recorded using brand new springs with ultra light alloy pellets that are basically like dryfiring your rifle.
Within your first tin on pellets your spring will break in and take a set. Velocities will be down. And as soon as you shoot a real lead pellet, you will loose another couple hundred fps.
The Beeman would be my choice because they nickel finish and synthetic stock are weather proof. And being able to shoot .177 and .22 is well worth the coin.
