I see these scopes usually at half price on Midway USA, they probably have a running deal with Simmons. I bought one years ago for a Savage .17hmr and it does a great job. Am getting ready to buy a truck gun in .22-250, a real truck gun to use when I ride my cow pastures. Do these cheapo scopes stand up to a .22-250? Just wondering cause I haven't shot my .17 in years but the scope used to do well, just wondering.

this one? https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...mm-adjustable-objective-mil-dot-reticle-matte

I'm pretty sure walkalong and another longstanding member on here have them and have been pleased for the value they offer when they are $100ish. It's a lot of power for an offhand truck gun though. And a huge scope. As I recall the optics are pretty good, the adjustments, not particularly precise or repeatable, but they held up.

For a beater scope, I've looked though one of these before and been impressed. and for $50.... https://www.natchezss.com/bushnell-...ope-3-9x40mm-multi-x-reticle-matte-black.html
this is also a pretty good deal https://www.natchezss.com/refurbish...rifle-scope-4-12x40mm-bdc-23-6-7-9-matte.html

Yep, a very good value at that price. No, I wouldn't put them on a rifle I was going to dial back and up all the time, but good optics and stays where you set it. Focuses down to 15 or 25 yards (I think 25) so it works for close up with rimfire. I have moved it around on .22, 9MM, .223, and 300 BLK ARs to check accuracy of loads.

I've had a few of the 6.5-20x50s. I agree for.the price they are quite good.
They are sometimes as low as 110-120 on sale.

I have a Simmons Prohunter pistol scope which is about 20,000rnds of 300grn 44mag old. Holds up just fine. If memory serves, the Prohunter was the same “class” as the Whitetail.
